What a real SEO audit is for
Most audits are long lists. A crawler finds 4 000 issues, the PDF lands in an inbox, and nothing changes because nobody knows which 15 issues matter. A useful audit answers three questions instead: what is stopping this site from earning more from search, what does it cost us, and in what order do we fix it.
That is how we run a site SEO audit. We collect the data a senior team needs, then a strategist interprets it against your business model, your priority keywords and your current organic revenue, and turns it into a fix list with owners.
Free audit versus the full audit in a plan
The two are related but not the same.
| Free SEO audit | Full audit inside a plan | |
|---|---|---|
| Who it is for | Anyone evaluating us | Every paying client |
| Pages crawled | up to 15 anonymously, up to 200 after free signup | your covered sites in full, with unlimited re-crawls |
| Analysis | Crawl-based checks with a health score and top issues | Strategist review, revenue prioritization, written recommendations |
| Competitors | up to 2 | your agreed competitor set |
| Uses your data | No | Yes, Search Console and GA4 through read-only OAuth |
| Fixes | Roadmap only | Implemented monthly within your plan's fix allowance |
| How often | One full audit per account | At kickoff, then continuous monitoring |
The free audit is a demo. It shows the kind of findings we produce. The full audit is the starting point of the work.

- Orphan pages and crawl depth of important URLs

How we prioritize by revenue impact
Every finding gets three labels: impact, effort and confidence. Impact is judged against what the affected pages earn or could earn: a crawl problem on your pricing or category templates outranks a missing alt text on an old blog post, even if the tool scores them the same. Effort reflects whether the fix is a setting, a template change or a development project. Confidence reflects how sure we are the fix will move the result.
The output is a fix list in three bands:
Fix now
High impact, low effort. Usually template-level issues on commercial pages.
Schedule
High impact, higher effort. These go into the quarterly roadmap with a clear owner.
Monitor
Low impact. Recorded so nobody wastes a month on them.
Why it matters for revenue
Technical and structural problems cap everything else. New content does not perform on a site search engines struggle to crawl. Links do not help pages that are canonicalized away. An audit ranked by revenue impact makes sure the first months of the retainer remove the biggest blockers before the content and link work scales up.
What the audit includes by plan

The kickoff audit arrives with your roadmap within 5 business days of the brief and access being complete. After that, the audit is continuous: we re-crawl after releases and before reports, and the monthly fix list updates as issues are resolved or new ones appear. Monthly scope resets at the start of each billing period.
Our audit process
- 1
Brief and access
You complete the brief and connect Search Console and GA4 in the panel. It takes about 10 minutes.
- 2
Crawl and collect
We crawl your covered sites, pull Search Console and GA4 data and review your priority templates manually.
- 3
Diagnose
Your strategist and a technical SEO review the findings and remove noise.
- 4
Prioritize
Each issue gets impact, effort and confidence labels and lands in a band.
- 5
Fix
With CMS access, we implement fixes within your monthly allowance. Fixes that need developers arrive as written tickets with acceptance criteria.
- 6
Verify
We re-crawl to confirm each fix and mark it done on the deliverables board.
Deliverables in the panel
| Deliverable | What you see in the panel | Cadence |
|---|---|---|
| Kickoff audit | Findings by area with impact, effort and confidence | once, within 5 business days of brief and access |
| Fix list | Every issue with URL, band, owner and status | updated monthly |
| Implemented fixes | What changed, where, and the verifying re-crawl | monthly, within your allowance |
| Developer tickets | Written specification and acceptance criteria | as needed |
| Health trend | Issue counts and resolved items over time | monthly report |
What you need to provide
- Read-only Google Search Console and GA4 access through OAuth.
- CMS access with an editor-level role if you want fixes implemented by us. We send least-privilege guidance and never ask for admin when it is not needed.
- A contact for developer tickets if your site needs code changes.
- Notice of upcoming releases so we can re-crawl after them.
What we do not do
- We do not sell standalone audits or one-off audit projects. The audit lives inside a monthly plan, because an audit without implementation rarely changes results.
- We do not hand over a raw crawler export as a deliverable.
- We do not change code in your repository or deploy to your servers. Template changes beyond your CMS go to your developers as tickets.
- We do not promise rankings from fixing technical issues. We report what we fixed and what moved.
FAQ
Can I buy a one-time SEO audit?
No. The full audit is part of every monthly plan, and we implement the fixes within your plan's allowance. If you want to see our findings first, the free SEO audit gives you one full audit per account at no cost.
How is this different from the free audit?
The free audit crawls up to 200 pages after signup and runs crawl-based checks. The paid audit covers your sites in full with unlimited re-crawls, uses your Search Console and GA4 data, includes strategist review and revenue-based prioritization, and comes with implemented fixes every month.
How long does the first audit take?
You receive the kickoff audit and roadmap within 5 business days of completing the brief and access in the panel. The brief and access handover take about 10 minutes.
Do you fix the issues or only report them?
We fix them. With CMS access, our technical SEOs implement up to 10 fixes per month on Small, 25 on Growth, 50 on Scale and 100 on Enterprise. Changes that need a developer go to your team as written tickets.
Will an audit hurt our site performance?
No. We crawl at a polite rate and can schedule crawls outside your peak hours. Search Console and GA4 are connected read-only.
What if our site is very large?
Scale covers up to 5 sites and includes the e-commerce category and faceted navigation program. Enterprise covers up to 10 sites or subfolders and adds migration support and release reviews. Re-crawls of covered sites are unlimited on every plan.
