SEO agency FAQ with straight answers before you buy
This SEO agency FAQ answers what buyers ask before they hire us: how pricing and billing work, why there are no calls, how fast results show, what access we need and what happens if you cancel. Every answer reflects the published plans on our pricing page.
If your question is not here, write to support@agencyseo.com. Clients ask their strategist in the panel and get a written answer within the reply time of their plan.

Buying and billing
Why does AgencySEO not offer sales calls?
Because a call adds nothing you cannot read faster. Our prices, scope per plan and contract terms are published on the pricing page, so there is nothing to negotiate or discover. Skipping the sales team also removes a cost layer that large agencies pass on to clients. You see the full scope before you pay, you check out online, and you start the same day. Questions before purchase go to support@agencyseo.com and get a written answer.
How long is the contract?
There is no long contract. Every plan is month-to-month with no setup fee. You pay for one billing period at a time, and the plan renews each month until you cancel. If you choose annual prepay, you commit to one paid year in exchange for a 20 percent saving, and you can still stop the renewal at any point in that year. There are no 6 or 12 month minimums, which are common elsewhere in the market.
How do I cancel?
Cancel any time in the panel under billing, with one click and no exit interview. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you already paid for, so your strategist keeps delivering the current month's scope until then. The next charge does not happen. Access you granted stays yours, and you revoke it in the access center in one click. Content and pages we delivered and you paid for remain yours.
What happens when I upgrade or downgrade?
Upgrade any time in the panel. The prorated difference for the rest of the current period is charged immediately, and the larger scope starts the same day, so your strategist can plan the extra pages, links and fixes right away. A downgrade takes effect from the next billing period. Until then you keep the scope you paid for. Monthly scope resets at the start of each billing period and unused deliverables do not roll over.
Is there a discount for paying annually?
Yes. Annual prepay saves 20 percent on every plan. Small costs 1 200 USD per month billed as 14 400 USD a year, Growth 2 800 USD per month (33 600 USD a year), Scale 6 000 USD per month (72 000 USD a year) and Enterprise 9 600 USD per month (115 200 USD a year). If you cancel an annual plan, renewal stops and your scope continues to the end of the paid year.
Do I get an invoice?
Every payment produces an invoice in the panel, available to download once the charge goes through. Invoices list the plan, the billing period and the amount in USD. Add your company name and tax details in billing settings before checkout so they appear on each invoice. Upgrades produce a separate invoice for the prorated difference. Finance teams can be added as panel users to download invoices without seeing the rest of the account.
Do you offer refunds?
We do not refund partial periods, except where the law requires it. Cancelling stops the next charge, and the work for the period you already paid for continues to the end of that period, so you receive what you paid for. Because scope is delivered month by month and every item is visible on your deliverables board, you can judge progress before each renewal and stop whenever the work no longer fits.
Which currencies do you bill in?
All plans are billed in USD, whatever country you are in. Your card issuer converts the charge into your local currency at its own rate, and some banks add a foreign transaction fee, so check with your bank if that matters for your budget. Prices on the site are shown before any sales tax or VAT that may apply in your country.
Can one company buy more than one plan?
No. One plan covers one workspace, which means one company. If you need more sites, more markets or more output, upgrade the plan instead of buying a second one. Scale covers up to 5 sites and 5 markets, and Enterprise covers up to 10 sites or subfolders and up to 10 markets. An agency or holding company that manages separate brands with separate budgets uses a separate workspace for each company.
Why is AgencySEO cheaper than many large agencies?
We have no sales team, no layers of account managers between you and the people doing the work, and a productized scope that tells everyone what ships each month. Senior strategists own the accounts, and specialists work under them. That structure removes overhead, not seniority. You pay for strategy, fixes, content and links, which you can check item by item on your deliverables board. For market context, read our guide to SEO cost.
Working together
How does an SEO agency work without meetings?
Everything happens in writing in the client panel. After checkout you fill in the brief and connect access, which takes about 10 minutes. Your strategist reads it, studies your site and publishes a kickoff roadmap within 5 business days. From then on, priorities, questions, approvals and reports all live in the messages thread with your strategist. Written work is faster to review, easy to forward to your CEO, and keeps a record of every decision. See how it works.
What do you need from us?
Three things. First, the brief: your offer, customers, markets, competitors and goals. Second, read-only access to Google Search Console and GA4. Third, CMS access with a limited role if you want us to implement technical fixes and publish content. Beyond that we need a person who answers questions and approves content in the panel, usually within a few business days. Most clients spend about an hour a week with us.
Who does the work on my account?
A senior strategist owns your account, sets priorities and reviews everything that ships. Specialist editors, technical SEOs and outreach specialists work under the strategist on content, fixes and links. Small and Growth have a shared strategist. Scale and Enterprise have a dedicated senior strategist. You talk to the person responsible for your results, not to an account manager who relays messages.
Do we approve content before it goes live?
Yes. Every new page, article and refresh appears on your deliverables board as a draft first. You can approve it, comment line by line or ask for changes in the panel. Nothing about your product, pricing or claims goes live without your approval. If you prefer, you can give standing approval for refreshes of existing articles and review only new pages. The board shows each item with its URL and status.
Who owns the content and pages you create?
You do. Once paid, all delivered content, pages, briefs and reports belong to your company, and they stay yours after you cancel. We publish on your site under your domain, so there is nothing to transfer. Links we earned point to your pages and remain in place. We do not hold content hostage or charge to hand it over.
We already have an in-house marketer or developer. Does that work?
Yes, and it often works best. Your in-house marketer keeps ownership of brand and messaging while we bring SEO strategy, content production and links. If you have a developer, we can hand technical fixes over as written tickets with acceptance criteria instead of implementing them in your CMS. Add your team to the panel as users (2 seats on Small, up to 25 on Enterprise) so they see the same board and reports.
How fast do you reply to messages?
Reply time depends on the plan. Small replies within 2 business days, Growth within 1 business day, Scale the same business day, and Enterprise within 4 business hours under an SLA. Urgent issues such as a sudden drop in indexed pages are flagged at the top of the thread. Every reply is in writing in the panel, so nothing gets lost in someone's inbox.
Results and reporting
How fast will we see results?
Technical fixes often show effect within weeks, once search engines recrawl the corrected pages. Content and links compound over 3 to 6 months, and competitive terms can take longer. From month one, the report shows leading indicators: pages indexed, impressions, positions for priority keywords, AI citations where tracked, and links placed. These tell you whether the program is moving before revenue numbers become meaningful.
Do you guarantee rankings?
No, and you should be careful with anyone who does. Nobody outside the search engine controls rankings. Guarantees push agencies toward risky tactics or toward easy keywords nobody searches for, which look good in a report and earn nothing. We guarantee the scope: what ships each month, listed on your deliverables board. We report revenue, leads and leading indicators honestly, including when something is not working.
What does the monthly report include?
The report sits in the panel after each full month. It shows organic revenue and leads where GA4 is connected, non-brand organic traffic, impressions and clicks from Search Console, positions for your priority keywords, AI search citations from Growth up, links placed with their status, and every deliverable shipped. Your strategist adds a written summary with what worked, what did not and the priorities for next month. See the sample report.
When is the first report?
The first monthly report appears after the first full month of work. Before that you already see progress: the kickoff roadmap within 5 business days of a complete brief and access, and each deliverable on your board as it moves from draft to published. Your strategist also posts written updates in the thread when something important ships.
Services
What exactly do we get each month?
Each plan lists its monthly scope: new optimized pages or articles, content refreshes, editorial links, implemented technical fixes and tracked priority keywords. For example, Growth includes 6 new pages, 4 refreshes, 6 editorial links and up to 25 technical fixes. Every plan also includes strategy, a quarterly roadmap, keyword mapping, content briefs and the monthly report. Every item appears on your deliverables board with its URL and status. Compare the scope on the pricing page.
Is your link building safe?
We use editorial outreach only: real sites that link to you because the content earns it. No private blog networks, no paid link farms, no link exchanges at scale. Every placed link is listed in the panel with its source URL, target URL and anchor text, and we check weekly that it is still live. Read more about our link building services.
Do you work with e-commerce and local businesses?
Yes. Small fits a single store or a local service business and includes local SEO basics such as Google Business Profile work where relevant. Scale and Enterprise add a full e-commerce program for category pages and faceted navigation. We work on Shopify, WooCommerce, WordPress, Webflow and custom builds. See e-commerce SEO for details.
Do you include CRO and landing pages?
CRO is included from Scale, with one landing page test per month. On Small and Growth you get CRO by upgrading the plan. We do not sell one-off add-ons: everything comes inside the monthly plan, so the scope stays clear and the price stays predictable. See CRO and landing pages.
Which countries and languages do you cover?
We work in any English-language market, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada and Australia. Small covers one market, Growth covers a second market, and Scale covers up to 5 markets with international SEO and hreflang. Enterprise covers up to 10 markets. Billing is in USD everywhere.
Can you cover several websites?
Yes, from Growth up. Growth covers one main site and audits on up to 2 sites. Scale covers up to 5 sites and Enterprise up to 10 sites or subfolders, with migration support and release reviews on Enterprise. Each covered site gets unlimited re-crawls, its own fix list and its own section in the monthly report.
AI search
Do you optimize for AI search such as ChatGPT, Perplexity and AI Overviews?
Yes, from Growth up. We track whether AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity cite your site for your priority topics (200 checks per month on Growth, 600 on Scale, 1 500 on Enterprise) and do answer engine and generative engine optimization work: clear answer blocks, entity and structured data work, and content that earns citations. Every plan includes AI crawler access rules and llms.txt as part of technical SEO. See AI search optimization.
Is AI search included on the Small plan?
Small includes the technical groundwork: AI crawler rules in robots.txt, llms.txt and structured data. It does not include citation tracking or AEO and GEO work. If AI search matters to your pipeline, start on Growth or upgrade from Small in the panel. The upgrade charges the prorated difference immediately and the AI search scope starts the same day.
Access and security
What access do you need, and is it safe?
We connect Google Search Console and GA4 through read-only OAuth, so we can read data but cannot change your settings. CMS access is needed only if you want us to implement fixes and publish content, and we recommend a limited role such as editor, never admin. Credentials are encrypted and never sent by email or chat. You revoke any access in one click in the access center. Details are on our security page.
Do you need access to customer data?
No. We read aggregated analytics such as sessions, conversions and revenue by landing page. We do not need personal data about your customers, and we ask you not to grant access to CRM records or order details beyond what reporting needs. If your CMS stores customer data, a limited role keeps it out of our reach.
Free audit
What does the free SEO audit include?
Enter your domain, market, business type and up to 2 competitors. We crawl up to 15 pages and show a health score, the top 3 technical issues, the first 3 keyword gaps with opportunity bands, a traffic upside band and an AI search readiness card. After a free signup with email and a 6-digit code, you unlock the full issue list, full keyword gaps, competitor comparison, a fix roadmap and a crawl of up to 200 pages.
Is the free audit an ongoing plan?
No. The free audit is a one-time demonstration of how we work. Each account gets one full audit, ever, with a PDF report watermarked "Free audit, AgencySEO". Partial results stay at their private link for 30 days. Ongoing work, fixes, content and links come only with a paid plan.
