International SEO agency for brands growing into new markets
An international SEO agency helps one brand rank in several countries and languages without its own pages competing against each other. We set up hreflang, choose the right domain structure, localize keyword research and run market-by-market growth as a monthly retainer.
Growth covers a second market. The full international program starts on Scale, with up to 5 markets, and Enterprise covers up to 10. You buy online, hand over access in about 10 minutes, and your strategist sends a kickoff roadmap within 5 business days.

What international SEO covers
International SEO answers one practical question: when someone in Germany, the UK or Australia searches, does the search engine show them the page you built for their market? When the answer is no, you see the wrong currency, the wrong language or the wrong country version ranking, and conversion drops even if traffic looks fine.
Market and language targeting
We decide which countries and languages each section of your site serves. A country is not always a language: Canada needs English and French, Switzerland can need three languages, and one English page can serve several markets if pricing and shipping are the same.
hreflang
Correct hreflang annotations tell Google which version to show in each locale. We audit and fix the most common errors: missing return tags, wrong language or region codes, hreflang pointing to redirected or noindexed URLs, and conflicts with canonicals. We also set the x-default fallback.
Domain structure
We review or recommend the structure that fits your resources and goals (see the comparison below).
Localized keyword research
People in different markets use different words for the same product. We research each market on its own instead of translating a US keyword list.
Localized content
Pages are adapted for currency, units, spelling (US, UK and Australian English differ more than most teams expect), legal context and local proof points. Machine translation without review rarely ranks or converts.
Market authority
Editorial links from sources in each target market, because a page for Australia benefits from Australian references.
International technical checks
Geo redirects that block crawlers, IP-based content switching, country-specific sitemaps and index coverage per market.
ccTLD vs subfolder vs subdomain
| Structure | Example | Strengths | Trade-offs |
|---|---|---|---|
| Country domains (ccTLD) | example.de, example.co.uk | Strongest local signal, clear to users | Each domain builds authority from zero, more cost to run |
| Subfolders | example.com/de/, example.com/uk/ | Shares the main domain's authority, simplest to manage | Weaker local signal, needs good hreflang |
| Subdomains | de.example.com | Separate hosting or teams possible | Often treated more like separate sites, authority shared less reliably |
For most brands growing into new markets, subfolders on one strong domain give the best return. Country domains make sense when local trust is decisive or legal requirements differ. We recommend what fits your situation and explain why in writing.
Why international SEO matters for revenue
Expanding into a new market with paid media alone means paying for every visit from day one. Organic search in a new country builds an asset that keeps working. If your main domain already has authority, a well-structured market section can start earning visibility faster than a new brand would.
The bigger risk is quiet loss. Without correct targeting, your US page can outrank your UK page in Britain, showing dollar prices and US shipping to a British buyer. Conversion falls and nobody sees why. Fixing targeting often lifts revenue from traffic you already have. We do not promise rankings in any market. We commit to monthly scope and report revenue and leads by market where GA4 is set up for it.

Small covers one market. Growth adds a second market, which suits a US brand entering the UK or Canada. Scale is where the full international program starts: up to 5 markets, hreflang across the site, market-by-market keyword research and authority building. Enterprise covers up to 10 markets and multi-site setups, plus migration support and release reviews for domain consolidations.
Monthly scope resets at the start of each billing period. Annual prepay saves 20 percent. Billing is in USD for every market.
How we run international SEO, step by step
- 1
Market review
We look at where you already get organic traffic, revenue and leads by country, and which markets show demand for your offer (shown as high, medium or low opportunity).
- 2
Structure decision
We confirm or recommend ccTLD, subfolder or subdomain and document the reasoning.
- 3
hreflang and targeting audit
Every locale version is checked for hreflang errors, canonical conflicts, geo redirects and indexation per market.
- 4
Localized keyword map
Research for each market, with one target URL per search per locale.
- 5
Fixes
hreflang, sitemaps, redirects and template issues are fixed within your monthly fix count, or ticketed for your developers.
- 6
Content localization
Briefs for each market, covering terminology, currency, proof and local questions, reviewed by our editors.
- 7
Market authority
Editorial outreach to relevant sources in each target country.
- 8
Report by market
Monthly report with visibility, revenue and leads split by market.

What we need from you
- Read-only Google Search Console for every market property, and GA4, connected by OAuth in the panel.
- CMS access with an editor role for hreflang, sitemap and content changes.
- Your target markets and what differs between them (pricing, shipping, legal terms, range).
- A native reviewer on your side for regulated or highly technical copy, if you have one.
What we do not do
- We do not publish raw machine translation as finished pages.
- We do not force automatic IP redirects that block search engines from your other versions.
- We do not write final copy in languages other than English. For markets in other languages we handle structure, hreflang, technical setup and the keyword strategy, and your native-speaking team or translators provide the final text.
- We do not handle local legal, tax or customs advice for new markets.
FAQ
Which plan do we need to add one new country?
Growth covers 2 markets, which is enough for a brand adding its first international market. If you plan 3 or more markets, Scale covers up to 5 with the full hreflang program.
Should we use country domains or subfolders?
For most brands, subfolders on one strong domain give the best return because they share existing authority. Country domains make sense when local trust or legal requirements demand them. We give a written recommendation for your situation.
Can we use one English page for the US, UK and Australia?
Sometimes. If price, currency, spelling and shipping are the same, one page with correct hreflang can serve several markets. Once those differ, separate versions usually convert better.
Will hreflang fix the wrong country page ranking?
Correct hreflang is the main fix, but it works together with canonicals, internal links and localized content. We audit all of them, because hreflang alone cannot override a page that is weaker in every other way.
How do you report results across markets?
Each market gets its own view in the monthly report: tracked keywords, visibility, organic revenue and leads where GA4 is set up with country data.
