Conversion rate optimization services for the traffic SEO brings
Our conversion rate optimization services turn the visitors SEO brings into demo requests, leads and orders. From the Scale plan, every month includes one landing page test: research, hypothesis, design, build, and an honest readout. It is part of the plan, never a separate purchase.
Traffic is only half of the result. When a page that ranks converts poorly, every new visitor costs you more than it should.

What CRO means in an SEO retainer
Conversion rate optimization (CRO) is the practice of finding out why visitors do not take the next step and changing the page so more of them do. In most agencies it is a separate team with a separate contract. Here it sits inside the same retainer as your SEO, because the pages that need it most are usually the ones search already sends traffic to.
Organic visitors behave differently from paid ones. They arrive on a page through a specific question, often earlier in their research, often on a blog post or a comparison page rather than a home page. Landing pages built for search have to do two jobs at once: answer the query well enough to rank, and move the visitor to a commercial next step without breaking that answer.
Our CRO work covers:
Landing pages for SEO traffic
Service, use case, comparison and category pages that rank and convert, built from your keyword map.
Test design
One clear change per test, tied to a written hypothesis and a primary metric.
Conversion paths from content
The step from an article to a product page, a demo request or a cart, including internal links, calls to action and in-content offers.
Form and checkout friction
Field count, error messages, trust signals near the action, mobile usability.
Message match
Making sure the headline, the first screen and the offer match the intent of the query that brought the visitor.
Why it matters for revenue
Revenue from search is traffic multiplied by conversion rate multiplied by value per conversion. SEO work moves the first factor. CRO moves the second, and it compounds with everything else in the retainer: each new page and each new link sends visitors to pages that convert better.
Illustrative example, with stated assumptions: a page receives 4 000 organic visits a month and converts at 1.5 percent, giving 60 leads. A change that lifts conversion to 1.8 percent yields 72 leads from the same traffic. The numbers are hypothetical, but the arithmetic shows why a small lift on a high-traffic commercial page often beats a new article.

CRO is not sold as a one-off project or as an add-on. On Small and Growth, it comes by upgrading to Scale in the panel: the prorated difference is charged immediately and the new scope, including the monthly test, starts the same day. Monthly scope resets at the start of each billing period, and an unused test does not roll over.
Even on Small and Growth, the pages we build follow conversion basics: clear next steps, message match with the query and internal links to commercial pages. Structured testing starts on Scale.
How a monthly test runs
- 1
Pick the page
We start with pages that combine meaningful organic traffic with commercial intent and a weak conversion rate, using GA4 and Search Console data.
- 2
Research
Your strategist reviews the query mix, scroll and click behavior where you have it, form analytics, and the pages that rank around you.
- 3
Write the hypothesis
One sentence: because we observed X, changing Y will improve Z for visitors arriving with intent W. The primary metric and any guardrail metrics are agreed in writing in the panel.
- 4
Design and build
Our team produces the variant: copy, layout changes and the brief for any design work. With CMS access we build it; otherwise we deliver a ready specification.
- 5
Run it properly
The test runs in your testing setup, or as a before and after comparison when traffic is too low to split. We state in advance how long it needs.
- 6
Read out honestly
We report the result, the confidence behind it and the decision: ship, iterate or discard. SEO safety checks (canonicals, indexable content, no cloaking) are part of every test.
A note on sample size
Many pages do not get enough conversions for a statistically clean A/B test within a month. We will tell you when that is the case instead of declaring a winner from noise. For lower-traffic pages we run sequential before and after tests on larger changes, pool similar templates, or measure a higher-volume step (such as clicks to pricing) as a leading indicator. Every readout says which method we used and how much weight to put on it.
Deliverables in the panel
| Deliverable | What you see in the panel | Cadence |
|---|---|---|
| Test plan | Page, hypothesis, primary and guardrail metrics, method | monthly |
| Variant | Copy and layout changes, URL, build status | monthly |
| Readout | Result, confidence, decision and next step | monthly, after the test window |
| Test log | Every past test with outcome, so nothing is retested by accident | ongoing |
| Landing pages | New SEO landing pages with URL and status | within your page allowance |
What you need to provide
- GA4 with conversion events set up, connected read-only. If events are missing, fixing tracking becomes the first priority.
- A testing setup on your site if you want split tests, or approval to use before and after comparisons.
- CMS access with an editor-level role so we can build variants, or a contact who can publish them.
- Brand and legal constraints on claims, offers and pricing presentation.
What we do not do
- We do not sell CRO separately or as a one-off. It is part of Scale and Enterprise.
- We do not declare winners from tests that did not reach a meaningful sample. An inconclusive test is reported as inconclusive.
- We do not run tests that hide content from search engines or show crawlers a different page from visitors.
- We do not redesign your whole site. Each test changes one page or template with a clear hypothesis.
- We do not use dark patterns, fake scarcity or fake reviews to lift conversion.
FAQ
Can I buy CRO without upgrading to Scale?
No. CRO is included from Scale, with one landing page test per month, and we do not sell it as a separate purchase. On Small or Growth you upgrade in the panel; the prorated difference is charged immediately and the test scope starts the same day.
Will CRO changes hurt our rankings?
Not when done carefully. We keep the indexable content that earns the ranking, avoid cloaking, set canonicals correctly on variants and check each test for SEO side effects before and after. Changes that would weaken the answer a page gives are rejected at the hypothesis stage.
Is one test per month enough?
For most sites, one well-researched test on a high-value page beats several small ones. Combined with the landing pages and refreshes in your plan, conversion improvements accumulate across the year. Enterprise has the same test cadence with a larger page and refresh allowance.
What if our traffic is too low for A/B testing?
We say so and switch methods: larger changes measured before and after, pooled templates, or a higher-volume leading metric. Every readout states the method and how confident we are, so you can judge the result yourself.
Do we need a separate testing tool?
Not necessarily. If you already use one, we work inside it. If not, many tests can run as before and after comparisons on a single URL. We tell you in the test plan what each test needs.
Who designs the variants?
Our team writes the copy and specifies layout changes. With CMS access we build the variant within your existing design system. Custom design work beyond that goes to your designers as a written brief.
