Generative engine optimization so AI answers cite your brand
Generative engine optimization (GEO) is the work of making your brand and pages the sources that AI answer engines cite and recommend: Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity and Copilot. We do it with entity work, structured data, citable content, AI crawler access and monthly citation tracking.
GEO is included in every plan from Growth, alongside classic SEO, as part of one monthly retainer you buy online. No separate contract, no add-on fee.

What generative engine optimization covers
A growing share of research now starts with a question typed into an AI assistant instead of a list of blue links. The assistant reads sources, writes an answer and sometimes names or links the brands it relied on. GEO is about being one of those sources, and being described accurately when you are.
As an AI SEO agency we work on the signals answer engines can actually use:
Entity clarity
Answer engines need to understand who you are, what you sell and how you relate to your category. We make that consistent across your site, your Organization and product structured data, your Google Business Profile where relevant, and the third-party profiles and directories that describe you.
Citable content
Pages that state clear answers early, define terms, include specific facts and comparisons, and are easy to quote. Long pages with the answer buried in paragraph nine rarely get cited.
Structured data
Organization, Product, Service, FAQPage, HowTo, Article and other schema that matches what is visible on the page.
AI crawler access
Many sites block AI crawlers by accident through robots.txt rules, firewall settings or bot protection. We review which crawlers can reach your content and set rules that match your business decision about AI training and AI search separately.
llms.txt
A short, curated file that points language models to your most important pages. We create and maintain it as part of technical SEO. Its adoption by AI platforms is still uneven, so we treat it as low-cost hygiene, not a ranking lever.
Third-party presence
Answer engines lean on sources other than your own site: reviews, comparison articles, industry publications and forums. Editorial links and digital PR feed this directly.
Citation tracking
Every month we run your priority questions through AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity and record whether you are mentioned, cited or linked, and which competitors appear instead. The same content and entity work also serves Copilot and other assistants that draw on web sources.
How GEO relates to SEO and AEO
GEO does not replace SEO. AI Overviews and most answer engines draw heavily on pages that already rank and are crawlable, so technical health and authority still come first. Answer engine optimization focuses on direct answers and featured formats. As an LLM SEO agency we handle all three as one program, so the same page serves the search result, the featured answer and the AI citation.
Why AI search visibility matters for revenue
When an assistant recommends three tools or three providers, buyers often shortlist from that answer. If your brand is missing, you lose the deal before your site gets a visit. If your brand is present but described wrongly (old pricing, a product you discontinued, the wrong category), you lose it in a different way.
AI search also changes what a click is worth. Fewer people click through on informational questions, but visitors arriving from an AI citation tend to be further along. We report mentions, citations and assisted leads alongside organic revenue.
What we can and cannot promise
AI answers vary. The same question can produce a different answer an hour later, for a different user, in a different location or model version. No one can guarantee that a specific assistant will cite you for a specific question, and anyone offering that guarantee is guessing. What we commit to is the monthly scope, a consistent measurement method, and honest reporting of your citation share over time, including when it drops.
What we deliver each month on each plan

| Markets | 1 | 2 | up to 5 | up to 10 |
AI crawler access rules and llms.txt are part of technical SEO on every plan. Citation tracking and dedicated AEO and GEO work start on Growth. Small clients upgrade in the panel: the prorated difference is charged immediately and the new scope starts the same day.
A visibility check is one priority question run in one answer engine, with the result recorded. On Growth, 200 checks a month is enough to track, for example, about 65 priority questions across 3 answer engines (an illustrative split; your strategist sets the mix). Monthly scope resets at the start of each billing period.
How we run generative engine optimization, step by step
- 1
Question set
We build the list of questions your buyers ask AI assistants, from category questions ("best tools for X") to comparison and problem questions.
- 2
Baseline
We run the set across AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity and record mentions, citations, linked URLs, competitors named and how your brand is described.
- 3
Access and technical review
robots.txt, firewall and bot rules for AI crawlers, rendering of key pages, structured data and llms.txt.
- 4
Entity cleanup
Consistent descriptions, schema and third-party profiles so answer engines get one clear picture of your business.
- 5
Content work
We refresh existing pages to answer questions directly and create new pages where no good source exists, within your monthly page and refresh counts.
- 6
Authority and mentions
Editorial outreach to the publications and comparison pages answer engines cite in your category.
- 7
Track and report
Monthly citation share, changes against the baseline, and the next priorities.

What we need from you
- Read-only Google Search Console and GA4, connected by OAuth in the panel.
- CMS access with an editor role for schema, llms.txt and content changes.
- Your decision on AI training crawlers (allow or block). We explain the trade-offs in writing.
- Accurate product, pricing and company positioning facts, so we can correct what answer engines get wrong.
What we do not do
- We do not guarantee citations or mentions in any answer engine.
- We do not create fake reviews, fake forum posts or planted mentions to influence AI answers.
- We do not publish large volumes of thin pages written for machines. Answer engines increasingly ignore them, and people bounce.
FAQ
Can you guarantee ChatGPT will recommend our brand?
No. AI answers change by user, location, model version and time of day, and nobody controls them. We commit to the work, measure your citation share with a consistent method and report it honestly every month.
Is generative engine optimization different from SEO?
It overlaps heavily. Most answer engines rely on pages that are crawlable, authoritative and clearly written, which is classic SEO. GEO adds entity work, citable formatting, AI crawler rules and citation tracking. We run both in one program.
Should we block AI crawlers?
It depends on your business. Blocking training crawlers and blocking AI search crawlers are separate decisions, and many sites block both by accident. We show you what is currently allowed and recommend rules that match your goals.
Does llms.txt improve AI visibility?
Support across AI platforms is uneven. We maintain it because it costs little and helps when it is read, but we do not present it as a ranking factor. Crawler access, content quality and third-party mentions matter far more.
How do you measure results if AI answers vary?
We run the same question set on the same engines each month, record mentions, citations and links, and report the share over time. One answer means little. The trend across many checks is what we report.
